On-Site Building Service for Your Convenience

On-Site Building Service for Your Convenience

We get it, not every yard is an easy drop site for a fully assembled building. That’s why Cedar Rock Barns offers on-site building services for customers who can’t accommodate delivery of a prebuilt shed, garage, or cabin. If you have limited access due to tight gates, fences, or trees, or you’re placing a building in a backyard with no access for our shed mule, on-site construction might be the right solution.

When Is On-Site Building Needed?

Our buildings are typically delivered fully assembled with a specialized shed mule that can maneuver around tight corners and hills. But if we can’t safely access the delivery site, we’ll build your structure right on location. We’ll bring the materials, handle the labor, and clean up the job site when we’re done.

Before we schedule an on-site build, we’ll confirm that your site is accessible, solid, and level. Whether it’s grass, a concrete slab, or a crushed stone pad, the surface needs to be properly prepped so your doors and windows operate smoothly.

Important Limitations for On-Site Builds

To help our crew stay on schedule and avoid delays, we’ve put a few guidelines in place:

  • We do not offer on-site builds for the following styles:
Garden Studios, Chalets, Carriage Houses, or Hip Barns. These designs are too time-consuming for on-site work.

  • Porches and dormers are not available for on-site construction. These features require additional framing and finishing that must be done in the factory.

  • Special order siding and paint are okay. If you’d like a custom color to match your home or HOA guidelines, we’re happy to accommodate that.

Pricing Adjustments for On-Site Builds

There are a few pricing considerations depending on your setup:

  • If the shed will be built directly on a concrete pad, we charge 30% of the subtotal as a labor fee.

  • If the shed will have a wood floor, we charge 35% of the subtotal and list it under labor (no sales tax applies to labor).

We’ll review all pricing with you before anything is scheduled so there are no surprises.
